(More customer reviews)As a bass player who truly loves 4 string basses, these strings are the best. I have a hipshot tuner that I use to drop my E string down to a D on occasion, and these strings keep that low nice and tight. My issue with 5 string basses is the noodley feeling B string. These Roto's provide a much tighter sound when played below standard E tuning. These strings, once broken in, stay in tune. I admit I've always been a fan of Rotosound stings, and its strings like this that created that impression with me. GHS Boomers and D'addario's are fine, but for my 'working' basses, it'll always be Rotosound.
